Covid 19 Notice

Due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic the trip to Brazil is postponed until further notice.

Cost includes (subject to change):

  • Round trip airfare from Portland to Salvador

  • Transportation to and from airport and other events

  • Lodging

  • Sightseeing tours

  • Classes in Dance Afro and Capoeira for those interested

  • Visits to Candomble terreiros (temples)

  • Daily lessons in Portuguese

  • Local theatrical performances

  • Visits to other local historical sites

  • Other activities can be arranged for those interested
     

*A valid US passport is required.
*You are responsible for your own travel insurance if desired
What to bring with you to beautiful Salvador:

  • Sleeping bag and pillow

  • Mosquito repellent

  • Suntan lotion/ sunscreen

  • Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, etc.)

  • Camera

  • Pen and paper

  • Small first aid kit (hopefully you won't need it, but just in case!)

  • Clothes and shoes appropriate for the weather. Remember that Brazil is a tropical country! *The weather in December can be anywhere from 65-95*F, and expect high humidity.

  • Spending money! Although many costs are taken care of, there are many beautiful things you may want to bring home with you. Also, costs of dining out at restaurants are not covered. Costs of traveling to locations of personal interest that are not part of the group are your responsibility.
    Any other personal needs (medications, etc.)

  • A positive attitude and a desire to have fun!
